Know in our social circles as "the relationship guru" my friend Dr. Wendy Walsh has been a secret weapon for those of us with successful relationships. She is absolutely amazing when it comes to defining the obvious in any relationship, as well as parsing out the complexities of relationship psychology in todays social media enriched, fast-paced, high-tech, political charged world.
While she spends her work days breaking down the psychology of sex, love, gender roles, divorce, parenting and other human behaviors with the gang at CNN and elsewhere, I wanted a little insight from Dr. Wendy on the hi-powered politican relationship phoenomenon
, where most of these leaders demise is due to bad relationship management. What is it? Why is it? Is it as simple as the old stand-by "men with power
" thing? As always, Dr. Wendy delivered.
Each week on CNN, she breaks down the psychology of sex, love, gender roles, divorce, parenting and other human behaviors. As host of Investigation Discovery Network's "Happily Never After," she guides viewers through the sometimes treacherous side of love. As resident expert at DatingAdvice.com, no subject is taboo in her popular advice column. She brought her trademark no-holds-barred style to season four of the Doctors and the show was nominated for a 2012 daytime Emmy award.
Dr. Wendy also lectures on evolutionary psychology and human mating strategies at California State University Channel Islands. She holds a B.A. in Journalism, a Masters degree in Psychology, and a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology.
