Former NYC Mayor Rudy Giuliani Says Governor Cuomo Should Remove “Incompetent” DeBlasio

In a string of tweets today, former New York City (NYC) Mayor Rudy Giuliani stated that New York Governor Andrew Cuomo should remove current NYC Mayor Bill DeBlasio.

Earlier today, Governor Cuomo announced that DeBlasio and the New York City Police Department (NYPD) had failed the city last night and were a “disgrace.” Cuomo also stated that DeBlasio had declined offers of help from the governor and would not take any National Guard assistance.

While Cuomo criticized both the NYPD and the mayor, Giuliani directed his concerns at the mayor, noting that DeBlasio was “preventing the NYPD from taking the actions that have prevented riots in the past.”

In a tweet earlier this afternoon, Giuliani added that DeBalsio must be removed.

Mayor de Blasio needs to step down. He is incompetent. We are losing a tremendous amount of property. We are seeing people damaged and hurt. Pretty soon, we’re going to lose lives if this man doesn’t get out of the way and let someone activate the police department!
