While some are taking the so called “threat” to cancel the kids cartoon – Paw Patrol – some say this is not happening…. There are some though who claim to be protesting the depiction of “good cops.”
Lego has halted it’s marketing campaign for “LEGO City Police Station” and Police Highway Arrest” sets, according to the the New York Times.
And Tom Scharpling, an executive producer of “Monk,” criticized his own show on Twitter, saying “If you – as I have – worked on a TV show or movie in which police are portrayed as lovable goofballs, you have contributed to the larger acceptance that cops are implicitly the good guys.”
John Cardillo took to Twitter to announce that A&E pulled its reality show “Live PD” from the schedule. Cardillo stated “Police being cancelled from pop culture.” Additionally, “Cops” was canceled on Tuesday after running for 33 seasons.
