Yesterday, “Big Tech” operators – Mark Zuckerberg, Jack Dorsey, and Sundar Pichai – were interviewed and questioned by U.S. Senators during congressional hearings.
During a session between Senator Ted Cruz and Twitter’s Jack Dorsey, Cruz asked about the censorship of The New York Post – the United States’ fourth-largest newspaper that was founded by Alexander Hamilton.
The New York Post published the first article which contained information from Hunter Biden’s laptop that had been left for months at a repair shop in Delaware. The information on that laptop contained damning information that former vice-president Joe Biden had not been totally truthful about “not knowing” about his son Hunter’s business dealings around the world. Twitter censored the newspaper and they have been unable to Tweet on Dorsey’s platform for the last two weeks.
Cruz asks whether the New York Post can tweet (as of yesterday) and he responds: “Yes, if they log into their account” and “delete the original post” which Twitter censored. Therefore, yes the Post will be allowed to tweet again if they follow Mr. Dorsey’s technocratic demand that they delete the original post, which he admitted to Senator Cruz was incorrectly censored by Twitter in the first place. But it’s okay, says Dorsey, because if they delete the original post they can re-post the same material and Dorsey says they will not censor it…now.
Cruz responds in two ways. So, if the New York Post “genuflects” to Twitter’s demands you will “allow” them to post again. Later, Cruz asks Dorsey “who the hell elected you and put you in charge of what the media are allowed to report and what the American people are allowed to hear…?“
