Nothing is Sacred – Joe Biden Demonizes Law Enforcement And Veterans As “White Supremacists”

President Joe Biden said during a CNN town hall on Tuesday that the greatest threat of terror in America today came from domestic groups and that former military and former police officers were fueling the “growth of white supremacy.”

“I got involved in politics, to begin with because of civil rights and opposition to white supremacists, the Ku Klux Klan and the most dangerous people on America continue to exist. That is the greatest threat of terror in America, domestic terror. So I would make sure my Justice Department and the Civil Rights Division is focused heavily on those very folks. I would make sure we focus on how to deal with the rise of white supremacy. You see what’s happening the studies that are beginning to be done, maybe at your university as well, about the impact of former military, former police officers on the growth of white supremacy in some of these groups.”

To characterize Biden’s remarks as grotesque would still not do them justice.

Biden was born in 1942. When U.S. Marines waded ashore at Da Nang in South Vietnam in 1965 he was twenty-three. When the Tet Offensive began in 1968 and we had five hundred thousand troops on the ground in Vietnam, Biden was still only twenty-six.

Biden didn’t go to Vietnam even though there was a national draft in effect. Biden received deferments on his military service for his undergraduate days at the University of Delaware and then for three years of law school at Syracuse University. He was busy. He had important things to do.

Somebody else could take his place.

When his educational deferments expired in 1968, Biden then requested a change to his draft status, which would mean that he could only be called up in the event of the declaration of a national emergency. As the reason for this request, Biden cited the fact that he allegedly had asthma as a teenager. He was not, you understand, fit for the rigors of military service.
Strangely enough, the sickly Biden later wrote a memoir “Promises to Keep: On Life and Politics.” He makes no mention of asthma anywhere in the book. He does spend a great deal of time touting his own athletic ability and bragging about his physical accomplishments.

“As much as I lacked confidence in my ability to communicate verbally, I always had confidence in my athletic ability,” Biden wrote in the memoir, “Sports were as natural to me as speaking was unnatural. And sports turned out to be my ticket to acceptance — and more. I wasn’t easily intimidated in a game, so even when I stuttered, I was always the kid who said, ‘Give me the ball.’”

On September 21, 1960, the News Journal, the main newspaper of Wilmington, Delaware, printed a season preview of the upcoming season for the Archmere high school football team on which Biden played. In the article the writer noted “[Biden] is one of the best pass receivers on the team.”

Biden was subsequently converted to halfback a position at which he apparently excelled. The team finished undefeated, and Biden scored more points than any other player on the team.

It seems Biden’s asthma only flared up when he was in danger of being shot at.

Biden went on within years of graduating law school to run successfully for the U.S. Senate. He has sat safely ensconced there ever since, through two Gulf Wars, the invasion of Afghanistan and a dozen other conflicts around the globe. He has never heard a shot fired in anger. He has never put his own life on the line for his country.

And, yet, this man, who never had the courage to serve his nation now dares for craven, political purposes to denigrate the men and women who have kept this nation free. Even as he cowers behind layers of fencing and security barriers and insists on the necessity for thousands on National Guard troops to remain in Washington, he characterizes the heroes of our armed forces and law enforcement as threats to the republic.

The political purpose of Biden’s remarks is manifestly obvious. There is in fact no significant threat of domestic terrorist attacks from white supremacist terrorist groups in this nation today. Yes, there are handfuls of crazy people who still have posters of Adolf Hitler on their clubhouses walls and think it would be just great if we had some bizarre “white boys only” homeland in the mountains somewhere. They aren’t going to overthrow the government, and frankly if they tried it would be our law enforcement personnel and our vets who would be the first to stop them. When you have put your life on the line you don’t see colors other than green and blue and you don’t spend a lot of time listening to hate speech.

Joe isn’t warning of terrorist attacks because it is a real threat. He is conjuring up the fiction of such a threat as a means of attempting to demonize his political opponents and to set the stage for the use of the full force of the federal government against them. Joe and his cronies have an agenda. They intend to fulfill it.

Now we know. Joe will say and do anything necessary to achieve his goals. To the man who let others die for him, nothing is sacred.
