Let’s Call BLM What It Is – Marxist

The Department of Defense (DOD) is devoting significant time and resources to briefing its employees on the dangers of “extremism” and teaching them how to ‘inform on’ coworkers they regard as threats. The briefing slides, for the sessions that are underway, give multiple examples of groups that qualify as “extremist” and include symbols used by many of the groups. Prominent for its absence is any reference of any kind to Black Lives Matter (BLM). That organization apparently – in the eyes of the federal government – poses no threat whatsoever and neither membership in it or even the display of symbols associated with the organization are of any concern.

How is that possible?

Black Lives Matter is an expressly Marxist organization. By definition, it is dedicated to the destruction of our entire existing economic and political order. Its leaders brag about being trained Marxists and working toward world revolution. BLM leader Patrisse Cullors, said of herself and co-founder Alicia Garza, “We actually do have an ideological frame. Myself (sic) and Alicia in particular are trained organizers. We are trained Marxists.”

In an April 2018 interview, Cullors added, “I went through a year-long organizing program at the National School for Strategic Organizing…. We spent the year reading, anything from Marx, to Lenin, to Mao.”

BLM receives funding from a group called Thousand Currents. The vice-chairman of the board of directors of Thousand Currents is Susan Rosenberg. Rosenberg started out as a member of the 1960’s revolutionary group Weather Underground. She then moved into even more violent terrorist activity with bombings at an FBI field office in Staten Island, the Navy Yard Officers’ Club in Washington, D.C., and the U.S. Capitol building..
Rosenberg and a co-conspirator were arrested in 1984 in front of a storage unit filled with 740 pounds of dynamite stolen from a Texas construction firm four years earlier. She spent 16 years in prison and was only released when Bill Clinton commuted her sentence.

BLM is friendly with Venezuelan dictator Nicolas Maduro, whose socialist policies have brought economic collapse and misery to millions of people there. BLM leaders have traveled to Venezuela to meet with Maduro.

Black Lives Matter led and directed riots have caused in excess of $2 billion in damages and torn the hearts out of many of our major cities. As this article is being written BLM leaders are threatening to continue the violence in pursuit of their aims.

BLM wants to abolish the nuclear family, police and prisons, the “patriarchy” and capitalism. BLM and groups associated with it are demanding a moratorium on rent, mortgages and utilities, and reparations for an ever-expanding list of grievances. BLM leaders have threatened to burn down “the system” and have announced that they are training militias based on the militant Black Panther movement of the 1960’s.

BLM leaders regularly announce their revolutionary intentions in the clearest possible terms.

“If this country doesn’t give us what we want, then we will burn down this system and replace it. All right? And I could be speaking figuratively. I could be speaking literally. It’s a matter of interpretation…. I just want black liberation and black sovereignty, by any means necessary.” —

BLM activist Hank Newsome, June 25, 2020.

“Stay in the streets! The system is throwing every diversionary and de-mobilizing tactic at us. We are fighting to end policing and prisons as a system which necessitates fighting white supremacist capitalist heteropatriarchal imperialism. Vet your comrades and stay focused.”

BLM Chicago, Twitter, June 16, 2020

“We are anti-capitalist. We believe and understand that Black people will never achieve liberation under the current global racialized capitalist system.” —

Movement for Black Lives (M4BL), of which BLM is a part, June 5, 2020.

“‘All Lives Matter,’ is little more than a racist dog whistle that attempts to both delegitimize centuries of claims of global anti-Black oppression and position those who exhibit tremendous pride in their Blackness as enemies of the state. Well, we are enemies of any racist, sexist, classist, xenophobic state that sanctions brutality and murder against marginalized people who deserve to live as free people.”
“Yes, I think the statues of the white European they claim is Jesus should also come down. They are a form of white supremacy. Always have been. In the Bible, when the family of Jesus wanted to hide and blend in, guess where they went? EGYPT! Not Denmark. Tear them down.”

BLM leader Shaun King, June 22, 2020

“We are living in a political moment where for the first time in a long time we are talking about alternatives to capitalism.”

Alicia Garza, BLM co-founder, March 2015

“Anti-racism is anti-capitalist, and vice versa. There are no two ways around it. To be an anti-racist must demand a complete rejection of business as usual. An end to racism demands transformation of the global political-economic setup.”

Joshua Virasami, BLM UK, June 8, 2020

Black Lives Matter posits that blacks are systemic and permanent victims of racism. This racism, according to BLM, can only be defeated by completely dismantling the American economic, political and social system and rebuilding it from scratch according to Marxist principles.

In its policy agenda, Black Lives Matter states that it is committed to abolishing the traditional nuclear family:

“We disrupt the Western-prescribed nuclear family structure requirement by supporting each other as extended families and ‘villages’ that collectively care for one another, especially our children, to the degree that mothers, parents, and children are comfortable.”

The Blackstone Institute

Destruction of the family is a time-honored Communist principle. Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels rejected the traditional family because, according to them, the nuclear family sustained the capitalist system. Engels wrote: “The care and education of the children becomes a public affair; society looks after all children alike, whether they are legitimate or not.”

In sum, BLM is an expressly Marxist unit dedicated to the overthrow of the government of the United States and the creation of a Communist state in its place. One cannot possibly be both a loyal member of the Department of Defense, sworn to defend the Constitution against all enemies foreign and domestic, and also a supporter of this organization. Long before anyone worries about the handfuls of individuals who may have trespassed on the grounds of the Capitol on January 6th, they ought to focus on an organization dedicated to the complete destruction of our way of life.

And, yet, somehow, as the contract “instructors” and “facilitators” make their rounds and present their PowerPoint slides, none of them seem to have time to discuss the obvious. None of them – nor the bureaucrats who hired them – have the courage to speak the truth and call BLM what it is – Marxist.
