Joe Biden continued his campaign to destroy American national security and betray our allies on Friday by dropping all sanctions against the Iranian nuclear program. The ayatollahs, already standing on the doorstep of having an atomic bomb just came a lot closer. It is now the apparent policy of the White House to allow the radical, militant Iranian republic to become a nuclear power.
Only days before the announcement Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) had attacked the Biden administration during a speech on the Senate floor over its weakness toward Iran.
“As a result of President Biden’s weakness and appeasement, this administration is ramping up to give a nuclear arsenal to the Ayatollah in Iran,” Cruz said. “The very same Ayatollah who chants ‘Death to Israel’ and ‘Death to America,’ the Biden administration is preparing to facilitate that Ayatollah having the weapons of mass murder to carry out those pledges.”
Cruz’s comments were not hyperbole.
In January the Iranians, who continue to make regular missile attacks on our forces in the Middle East, made a series of threats to assassinate American officials including the former President of the United States, Donald Trump. In remarks published by the Iranian media, IRGC Quds Force Commander Sardar Esmail Qaani vowed to enact revenge over the killing of former IRGC Quds Force Commander Qassem Soleimani by the American forces during the Trump administration.
“Wherever it is needed, we will provide for the basis of revenge against the Americans from within their houses and by people by their side without us being present,” Qaani said. “If wise people in America are found who deal with those who committed the atrocity of assassinating Commander Soleimani, this action will be much less burdensome for America than if the offspring of the Resistance Front, who know no bounds, to themselves go and take this revenge.”
The Iranians named a total of 52 American officials they intended to assassinate. They also released a video showing how they intended to kill President Trump in Florida using a drone.
Iran’s threats against Trump and members of his administration came only weeks after the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) released high-quality video of simulated attacks on the Israeli nuclear facility at Dimona. The video showed a target representing the Israeli nuclear site being successfully hit by state-of-the-art weapons, including missiles and rockets.
Just to make sure the message was not lost, IRGC Commander in Chief Major General Hossein Salami said after the release of the video that Iran will cut off the hands of enemies if they make a wrong move.
The release of the video showing the simulated attack on Dimona coincided with a wide-ranging series of Iranian military exercises throughout the Persian Gulf region. The exercises, codenamed Great Prophet, showcased Iranian capabilities and included a number of missile launches designed to drive home the message that the Iranians fully intend to destroy their enemies in the region.
First on the list? Israel.
Also in December 2021, the official Twitter account of the Iranian government ran an image of Israel constructed with matches with the warning “Just try and you will see” written in both English and Hebrew.
In the same month, the Tehran Times ran the headline, “One wrong move” on its front page accompanied by an illustration of targets within Israel.
In November 2021, the spokesman for the Islamic Republic of Iran’s armed forces Brig.-Gen. Abolfazl Shekarchi stated that total elimination of the Jewish state was Iran’s goal. “We will not back off from the annihilation of Israel, even one millimeter,” Shekarchi said during an interview with an Iranian regime-controlled media outlet. “We want to destroy Zionism in the world.”
The Biden administration continues to attempt to sell the American people on the notion that the Iranians intend to negotiate in good faith and desire only peaceful coexistence. The truth is much darker and more dangerous.
The men who run Iran are on a mission. They intend world domination. Their goal is the creation of a worldwide caliphate and the elimination or assimilation of all those who oppose them.
These madmen are perilously close to having in their hands a weapon, which will allow them to destroy Israel and all the Sunni Arab states that stand against militant Shia Islam. We ought to be moving with dispatch to guarantee that the ayatollahs will never possess nuclear arms. We are not.
Biden just caved to the ayatollahs. They are free of sanctions. We may be only months from a nuclear-armed Iran.
